Hello, I'm Lucy, aka The Fixey Pixie.

I'm here to fix up your garden... Pixie style! This means no loud machines and no harmful chemicals. It means conscious and careful management with hand tools and an eye for the little things.

Has your garden got a little out of
control? Does it feel a bit too wild to be able to enjoy and manage yourself? Not sure what to get rid of and what to keep? I'm here to help!

You can find out more about my services below. I also offer deep cleans for indoor spaces (I like sorting and organising spaces... can you tell?) Feel free to get in touch with any weird and wonderful enquiries. I'd be happy to help.

My Services

Garden Fix-ups

As a gardener, my speciality lies in big sort-outs. If you have a space that feels like it has grown out of control, then I'm your Pixie!

I use hand tools to manage brambles, stingers, overgrowth of hedges, self seeding plants and unwanted grass. I also use a scythe to manage lawns.

My mission is to help spaces work for everyone - not just the humans. I garden with habitats and bio-diversity in mind and would love to help you to create spaces for growing vegetables, flowers and other plant life.

 Overview:

  • Clearing overgrowth and making space

  • Tidying, pruning, and weeding.

  • Bringing more bio-diversity to your garden.

  • Creating vegetable, herb, and berry gardens/beds.

Picture Examples...

Here are a few before and after pictures as well as other examples of spaces i've worked with.

Indoor Fix-ups

I also offer indoor deep cleans and space clear-outs - mainly in the winter time when gardens have slowed down. I bring the same ethos to my cleaning as i do to my gardening - conscious and considerate. For me, this means making my own natural cleaning products from a brew of things like bi-carbonate soda, white vinegar, lemon, surgical spirit and essential oils. It also means helping you to recycle or sell things you might want to get rid of.

 Overview:

  • Full house or half house deep cleans

  • Help to de-clutter - sorting, clearing and re-arranging.

  • Loft, garage and shed sort outs.

Prices

Half day (4 hours): £70

Full day (8 hours): £140
(£17.50 an hour)

Location

I am based in Nunney (BA11) and can work within a 15- 20 mile radius.

I am happy to travel to Frome, Mells, Warminster, Bruton, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury, Wells and other villages within this radius.

About Me

I'm a Bristol born but Somerset based pixie with a love for land-based living and working. I worked hard to gain hands-on experience and knowledge of working on the land and within the plant world by work-exchanging within different land-based communities and Permaculture projects for many years.

I work part-time at a local market garden and one day hope to have my own space for creating a community growing project. The Fixey Pixie is my own little business to help me save for this dream whilst still doing something I love!

I believe that healthy spaces are crucial for the way that we connect with ourselves and with nature. I’m a gentle soul and I like to work with awareness and care to create calm, comfortable and happy spaces.

I love to involve people in my work and am always happy when clients want to work with me to create a space that suits them and the wider environment.
